Acute infection usually occurs in about 1-2 weeks after exposure to HIV. In the period of acute infection, HIV large number of replication and CD4 cells large number of sharp decline. Mainly systemic and skin, nervous system and intestinal symptoms.
Systemic symptoms include: fever, sore throat, night sweats, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes and hepatosplenomegaly.

Skin lesions mainly as rash, itching, mostly of non-red rash, urticaria or diffuse occasional water herpes, skin rash occurred in some, mostly the face, trunk, body weight can occur.
In the nervous system damage in about 9% of HIV patients out of acute meningitis, the clinical manifestations were fever, headache, vomiting and meningeal irritation, cerebrospinal fluid examination in mononucleosis, protein content increased.
Common gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, oral and esophageal candidiasis and so on.
